Our rooms were all renovated in late 2016, and are beautifully decorated, providing flat-screen TVs with an extensive cable package, plus high speed wi-fi, and parking – all for no additional cost.

Each room has it’s own private bathroom, while some also provide a sitting area to relax inside. In addition, we have two newly landscaped areas on the property for guests to enjoy a relaxing coffee or a quiet moment, morning or night.

In the 1950’s a two story bungelo style home was built on the property to serve as a living quarters for construction crews and engineers working on the passenger rail road, located just down the street on historic Atlantic Ave.  This temporary home was located on the on the grassy area of the property and was later torn down when the property was sold in 1967. In the 1970’s the construction of the pool, and  3 other smaller buildings commenced and the property was converted in to Condominiums becoming a part of the Williamson-Diebel subdivision.  In 1981, the Dover House Resort transitioned ownership and became known as one of the first Timeshare Plans in the world.  Currently the property is managed by Florida based management company.

Delray’s beautiful beach is found just across the street from East Wind’s rental units. Here you can swim, picnic, sunbathe, and in the selected areas play volleyball, windsurf, fish, or ride the waves on surfboards. A short stroll brings you to the Atlantic Avenue Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway. For several blocks on either side you will find the main artery of downtown Delray Beach, literally bursting with quaint boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries. Travel by car, and minutes away you will find golf courses, tennis courts, shopping malls, an 18 screen movie complex, regional live theater, many additional restaurants, and medical facilities.

It was the height of the roaring twenties when Martin Luther Hampton, an associate of Addison Mizner designed and built the Colony in 1926. From the outside, the twin domes are an example of the romantic Flagler era of Florida Mediterranean architecture. Inside you’ll see what decades of family care and dedication can preserve and improve.   The interior of the hotel includes the 1926 staff operated elevator and the original telephone switchboard. In the lobby, is the original hand-woven Fixx Reed wicker furniture and is lit by six wood skylights. The lobby terrazzo floor, the porch Cuban tile floor and the red oak floor in the music and former dining rooms and are still shine with love.
